The time is almost here! I definitely should have started packing my hospital bag some time ago but it’s getting done now! I’m a big list maker and have been planning out what I’ll need to bring to the hospital for weeks, I just need to do it.
I’ve done lots of research and have asked around to find the PERFECT essentials to bring without overpacking. I hope you find this useful! I love a good checklist!
I only recommend products I would use myself and all opinions expressed here are our own. This post may contain affiliate links that at no additional cost to you, I may earn a small commission.
And here are a few helpful links of specific things I’ve bought for my hospital bag:
- button front pajamas
- daytime nursing bras
- night time nursing bras
- large dark underwear
- nursing pads
- water bottle
- announcement sign
Let me know if there is anything super important I’m missing! I’m a first time mom and am bound to make mistakes, miss things, or overpack. I’ll take all the mommy advice I can get!

I’d recommend something like those vitamin C hard candies to suck on after the baby arrives, also protein bars (perhaps that lands under snacks). We used to have to take our little book with phone numbers to call everyone, but now your phone remembers that and more!
Good to know! And yes we are bringing protein bars!
